Stimpmeter
A stimpmeter is a small tool to measure how quickly a golf green is. A golf ball rolls down a chute that is 76 cm long and is kept at an angle of 20 degrees. This runs the ball out on the grass with a starting rate of 6 feet or 1.83 meters per second. You measure six times on the green in two opposite directions how far the ball goes and calculates the average. For regular game regarded 4-5 feet (122-152 cm) for a slow green, while 8-9 feet (244-274 cm) is considered a quick green.
